The challenge

Carosue Dam Operations (CDO) faced a critical challenge in 2015 when they aimed to improve their ore sampling process. The need was clear: efficiently generate composite samples from primary crushed ore to determine third-party toll treatment payments accurately.

However, the challenge was multifaceted.

CDO had to integrate this new sampling station into their existing plant infrastructure seamlessly while ensuring that ongoing operations remained undisturbed. This demanded a solution that could swiftly enhance the sampling process without compromising plant efficiency or productivity.

Our solution

To address CDO's complex challenge, Consep was engaged to design and supply a standalone sampling station tailored to their specific needs. Our expert team collaborated closely with Saracen site staff, fostering a robust partnership.

This collaboration allowed us to ensure that the sampling station seamlessly integrated into the existing plant infrastructure. This integration was executed efficiently and with minimal disruption, demonstrating Consep's commitment to delivering practical solutions within tight timelines.

The new station was designed to handle 350tph fine ore, efficiently generating shift composite samples. This capability ensured precise metallurgical accounting and empowered CDO to make third-party toll treatment payments confidently.
