Cross Belt Samplers

The QHS cross belt samplers is designed to meet the needs of the coal industry, with existing designs from 400 – 2200mm belt width. The QHS cross belt sampler is manufactured from stainless steel and its design has been continuously developed over decades to ensure precise and accurate results. QHS have developed a feeder – cross belt integrated solution that is ideal for representative secondary sampling. The use of multiple stage cross belt samplers is a proven solution within the coal industry.

Linear End of Belt Samplers

The QHS end of belt linear samplers are used in many of the largest coal ship loading terminals in the world. It delivers unrivalled precision and accuracy due to its electric drive and best practice design. A range of cutter designs is offered, to suit each application and installation location. The linear sampler is also one of the preferred choice in secondary sampler duties in the coal industry. Like the majority of the QHS speciality coal sampling range, the linear samplers are manufactured from stainless steel to ensure long life in the application.

QHS Double Rolls Crusher

The QHS Double Roll Crusher has been specifically designed for crushing coal in larger sampling systems. The crushing action minimises the production of fines and reduces moisture loss. This crusher can crush wet and sticky materials without blocking. It is also able to pass uncrushable materials. The QHS Double Roll Crusher has a range of special features to improve its performance, reliability and wear life. The worlds largest coal export terminal first trialled the QHS Double Rolls Crusher in 1996, and subsequently have replaced their existing sample crushers with nine installed in this one location. The success of this installation led to the widespread adoption of the QHS Double Rolls Crusher in the Coal Industry, especially in larger sampling systems.

Complete Packaged Sample Stations

It is a common choice within the coal industry for the sampling company to provide a complete sample station, including the system design and control package. Consep QHS sampling product range is extensive and complete, allowing a one stop shop for equipment. Beyond this, we have an expert team of sampling specialists who have successfully completed the process, mechanical and electrical designs for complete sampling stations across the industry. A key and unique feature of the Consep QHS sampling solutions is that all aspects are completed in house, using our team of dedicated staff. Whether it’s the design, manufacture or long term support, the complete package is handled by Consep staff.

QHS Hammermill Crusher

The QHS Hammermill Crusher is a proven solution for select applications, and comes in two basic models. The HC-B crusher is the largest of the QHS Hammermill Crushers, and is a common crusher for raw coal or plant feed coal where larger lump sizes are common. The HC-B crusher can handle large lump size, and the product size is able to be changed via a range of discharge screens. While the basis of the design ios a traditional single rotor hammermill crusher, the unit incorporates a number of QHS special design features to make is suitable for sticky materials and minimise the risk of build-up. The screens and hammers are symmetrical, allowing them to be turned around to extend wear life. The QJS Screw Feed Hammermill Crusher is designed for smaller mechanical sampling systems, and is suitable for crushing wet or dry materials, including wet fines. The screw feeder is designed to control the feed rate to the crusher, but also results in minimal moisture loss of the sample.

QHS Belt Feeders

QHS have developed a wide range of specialist belt feeders for use in coals sampling, with a wide range of widths and lengths available. While troughed belt feeders are the most common style used in the industry, there are a number of proven speciality products available from QHS including slider tray feeders and slotted belt feeders as two examples. Many in plant sample stations incorporate an integrated QHS feeder and secondary cross belt sampler, which is a very compact option for effective sampling. As per most of the range of QHS coal sampling technology, the feeders are majority manufactured from stainless steel, ensuring a long service life. It is common for the feeders to be bespoke for the individual project, and custom designed to simplify the installation for our clients.
